Other than the usual temporary fixes (deleting prefs, safe mode, restarting and not opening the software, etc. (I'm also unable to open, add images to, or save out PPT files.) I start up my font management software, the entire Office suite of programs is rendered unusable. This is unrealistic as I need it for various other programs. Select any font in your collection and Suitcase Fusion 3 quickly does a glyph-level comparison of all fonts in your collection to locate similar fonts.
This has NOTHING to do with any kind of permissions setting, and the only way to reliably open any Word documents is to completely restart my machine and specifically not open Suitcase.
